Synopsis

Onion ist ein Sklavenjunge, der Mitglied von John Browns kunterbunter Familie von Abolitionisten-Soldaten wird, die in Kansas gegen die Sklaverei kämpfen. Schließlich findet er sich in dem berühmten Überfall auf das Armeedepot von Harpers Ferry 1859 wieder, der den amerikanischen Bürgerkrieg weiter anstachelt.
